Self-Promotional Image Poster

This self-promotional image poster is intended to highlight my love for autumn and Halloween. The pictures used of me are taken at a local pumpkin patch which I visited to get a pumpkin. The font which I used for my name I did in a variety of shades of orange and I replaced the ‘o’ with a pumpkin which I drew on illustrator. The colour of orange is to emphasise autumn and Halloween but also it suggests, “confidence, success, warmth, fun and energy” (Snap print solutions, 2022) and this is exactly what I wanted to capture in my poster in order to promote myself. I decided to incorporate the same pumpkin throughout the poster to make it feel more like a pumpkin patch which of course has many pumpkins. I used illustrator to draw myself also, and I added that above one of my images and I think the shadows and highlights of this drawing makes it clear it is a representation of me.

This poster is done to highlight my creativity as it is in the form of a scrapbook page. Personally, I journal a lot and the green book I drew on illustrator is a picture of my journal that I drew so it is personal to me. For each image of me I used a picture of tape that I took to give the illusion that it is taped down. For the image of me I used the outline of my portrait to make a background, and stars cut out to make it creative. I also took a picture of paper that I ripped, and the cherries and envelope are pictures of stickers that I use for journaling, so it represents a recreation of a journal page.  I use my journal to express my creativity. “I would like our journals to be the expression of our thoughts and feelings” (Intention Inspired, N.D) which I do so I wanted to use my poster to replicate my individuality I display in my creative hobbies.
